A flawed industry
These days, low quality skateboard decks can be bought pretty much anywhere for next to nothing. The result? Skaters are getting frustrated by having to buy a new board every few months and the big companies producing these cheap decks get filthy rich from it. To top it all off, the people who designed the graphics on these boards are getting completely ripped off. It's not difficult to spot the problem here…
The artists perspective
Every skater loves the feeling of getting a new board with an awesome graphic. It just makes you want to skate. What many don't realize, however, is that the people designing these graphics often get paid close to nothing for their work. Companies usually only pay flat rates of a few bucks per design which they then sell millons of. That doesn't sound very fair, does it? So how can we fix this?
Our mission
We bring you closer to the people who design the decks you skate. This is achieved, by letting artists upload their design directly to our shop, cutting out the middleman and, therefore, ensuring them a fair compensation for their work. We take care of manufacturing the decks and ship them straight to you!
Full transparency
Artists have stories to tell. We want you to hear them! We give every artist the option to share what’s on their mind. That way, you don’t just know who made your design, but you know who they are!
Fairness
Unlike other skateboard manufacturers, we don’t pay our artist flat rates for their designs. Instead, we work with a commission-based model. This means that every time you buy a new deck, a portion of the price goes directly to the artist. That way, they profit from every sale and generate a steady cash flow, even if they stop creating new designs!
Quality first
All our decks are made from sustainably harvested Canadian maple wood, which is the industry standard in professional skateboarding. We do this to ensure their durability and to give them a great pop even after months of skating!
